Your tour begins with morning pickup from your riad in Fes. The drive leads south through the city of Ifrane, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco" due to its alpine-style architecture and cool climate.
Continue through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where you’ll stop to observe Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. Then journey along the scenic Ziz Valley, filled with palm groves and traditional villages, stopping at a viewpoint to admire the lush landscape.
Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. From here, your camel trek begins across the Erg Chebbi dunes. As you make your way to your luxury desert camp, take a break on top of a dune to enjoy the stunning desert sunset.
Upon arrival at the camp, you’ll be welcomed with mint tea and shown to your private en-suite tent. After a delicious dinner, gather around the campfire for an evening of Berber music and drumming beneath the stars.
Wake early to catch the sunrise over the dunes — a calm and truly memorable experience. After breakfast, a 4×4 vehicle will take you back to Merzouga village, where the return journey to Marrakech begins.
En route, stop at the legendary Ait Ben Haddou — a fortified Kasbah recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic location has served as the backdrop for major films and series such as The Mummy, Gladiator, Prince of Persia, and Game of Thrones. Enjoy a panoramic view and take photos of this architectural marvel.
Then continue across the majestic High Atlas Mountains, with scenic stops for photos along the way. The tour concludes with your drop-off at your accommodation in Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening.
