- Tour plan :

Depart Fes at 8:00 AM, heading toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine architecture and snowfall, and in Azrou’s cedar forests to see Barbary macaques. Cross through mountain towns like Timahdite before reaching Midelt, known for apples and mineral mining. Overnight in a charming guesthouse.

Travel through the scenic Tizi-n-Talghemt pass and into the Ziz Valley, dotted with thousands of date palms and traditional ksars (fortified villages). Visit the fossil workshops in Erfoud, then continue to Merzouga. Enjoy a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, arriving at your luxury desert camp for dinner and a night under the stars.

After breakfast and a possible sunrise over the dunes, head toward Tinghir and the Todgha Gorges. Explore the famous khettarat (ancient underground irrigation channels) along the way. Walk along the gorge or through nearby Berber gardens before continuing to Dades Valley. Overnight in a kasbah or hotel surrounded by dramatic red rock formations.

Start with a short walk in Dades Gorge, then take an off-road route via the Boutaghrar piste to meet Berber nomads in their caves. Continue through the Valley of Roses, stopping in Skoura to visit the beautifully restored Kasbah Amredhil. Arrive in Ouarzazate and settle into your guesthouse for the night.

Visit the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for many Hollywood movies. Then drive through the breathtaking Ounila Valley to reach Telouet Kasbah. Although closed due to the 2023 earthquake, the exterior can still be admired with a local guide. Cross the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass in the High Atlas and arrive in Marrakech by evening.
