- Tour plan :

Your desert journey begins after breakfast at your hotel or riad in Fes. The drive heads south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, with a first stop in the charming town of Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its alpine-style architecture and cooler climate.

Next, pass through cedar forests near Azrou, where you may spot wild Barbary macaques. After a scenic drive and a relaxing lunch break, continue along the lush Ziz Valley, filled with date palms and traditional Berber villages.

Arrive in Merzouga by late afternoon. Here, your camel trek begins. Ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi while watching a magical sunset, then arrive at your luxury desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner, followed by live Berber music around the campfire and an unforgettable night under the stars.

Rise early to witness a peaceful sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 vehicle, then set off toward Boumalne Dades.

On the way, pass through the town of Rissani. If your visit coincides with a market day (Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday), you can stop to explore the bustling local souk. Continue through Erfoud and arrive at Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with 300-meter-high cliffs. Enjoy a walk along the Todra River and take in the dramatic scenery.

In the afternoon, arrive in Dades Valley. Before checking into your hotel, enjoy a panoramic drive through the valley to admire its rock formations, including the famous “Monkey Fingers.” Dinner and overnight stay in a local hotel.

After breakfast, begin your final day with a scenic drive through the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” Optionally, you may visit the Atlas Film Studios to see preserved movie sets or take some photos from outside.

Continue on to Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for productions like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Explore the ancient kasbah and enjoy lunch before heading back to Marrakech.

Cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 meters), stopping for panoramic views along the way. You’ll arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel or riad.
