After breakfast, enjoy a peaceful morning strolling the quiet streets of Chefchaouen. Admire its photogenic doors, colorful flower pots, and quaint shops. Then, we journey south to explore Volubilis, one of Morocco’s best-preserved Roman ruins. Recognized by UNESCO, Volubilis features intricate mosaics, ancient archways, and sweeping views of the countryside.
Our next stop is the imperial city of Meknes, where history and grandeur come together. Visit Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, and the impressive Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Walk through centuries of Moroccan history before heading to Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco. Your accommodation for the night is a beautiful riad tucked into the medina’s historic alleys.
Today we travel south, leaving behind the urban energy of Fes and entering the serene landscapes of the Middle Atlas. Our first stop is Ifrane, affectionately called the "Switzerland of Morocco" thanks to its alpine architecture and cool climate. Continue to the majestic Cedars Forest, where you may spot and even feed friendly Barbary macaques.
After lunch in Midelt, we drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass, descending into the stunning Ziz Valley with palm-lined views and ancient ksars. By afternoon, we reach the gateway to the Sahara: Merzouga. Here, you’ll mount a camel and trek into the desert, pausing atop a golden dune for sunset. Arrive at your desert camp for a magical evening of Berber drumming, stargazing, and dinner around a fire.
